5) Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
|

An independent clinical study of 30 subjects was conducted to evaluate effect of oat products on the repair of photodamaged skin. American Natural Products Oat Beta Glucan in carbomer base vs. carbomer base as placedo were used twice daily for 8 weeks with the following results for Oat Beta Glucan. Image analysis was used to evaluate silicone replicas of the outer canthus area of the left/ right eye (crow's feet). A reduction of fine lines/winkles was dramatically demonstrated with a 16% reduction in the average depth of the deepest wrinkle (PMMAX) and a 13% reduction on overall roughness (RA) after 8week use.

6) Improves skin viscoelasticity

Skin elasticity of the outer canthus of the eye area (crow's feet) was assessed using the Customer SEM 575 (Courage & Khazaka). Suction was applied to a small area of the skin and elasticity was evaluated by optical technique. Results showed a significant increase in extensibility of 18% after 8 weeks treatment vs. 4% for the placebo.

Macrophotography clearly demonstrated a reduction in both hyperpigmentation and fine lines/wrinkles after 8 weeks of product use with an overall improvement score that more than doubled that of the placebo.
